Please don't make me go in the bedroom...

Hi Everybuddy! My good pal Dozer asked me to show him my bedroom. Well Dozer... I'd love to show you my bedroom but I can't. I can only show you the bedroom door. Why, you ask? Well it's because a hideous monster lives in the bedroom. A monster with huge fangs and claws. My mom says I'm silly for being afraid of the monster and she went into the bedroom to take a picture of it. (Beware... the following is not for the faint of heart!)

AAAH!!! I tried to warn you!! Run Mommy run! Run for your life!!

Now don't let the monster's furry paw mittens fool you. That's where she conceals her claws of death. Everytime I try to get near the bed she swipes at me and hisses in my face with her tuna breath.

Before my mom came out of the bedroom she took a picture of an Andrew Wyeth print that's hanging over the bed. The name of the painting is DOG ON BED SLEEPING. Well I should be the DOG ON BED SLEEPING. I'll bet Andrew Wyeth's dog didn't have to put up with an evil kitty monster.

When I was a little pup I liked to sleep in my dad's big easy chair.

Now that I'm a big boy I like to sleep on the floor behind the couch. Even though my mom bought me a big comfy bed, I still prefer to sleep on the floor.

Hey Mom... it's really hard to sleep while you're flashing that camera in my face. *SIGH*

Now it's my turn to pass this meme along to some of my friends.

Mason Dixie... a pretty doggie like Mason Dixie must have a pretty bedroom, right?

Bruce the cat... I wonder if he gets to sleep in one of his dad's cool cars?

Norwood... does Mr. Bizerko ever sleep? Enquiring minds want to know!

Hiking the San Bernardino Peak Divide Trail

Hi Everybuddy! A few days ago my dad and I went for a hike along the San Bernardino trail. Can you see me next to the gigantic boulders? (You may have to enlarge the photo to see me.) I'm the furry black blob on the right hand side of the photo.

After we passed the big boulders I saw this wonderful sight... SNOW! Beautiful white SNOW!

I love, love, LOVE the snow!

Ahhhh... it feels so good to lie down in the snow.

Dad said that we had to leave because he wanted to see the Washington Monument. I think dad was in the sun too long... we can't hike all the way to the Washington Monument in one day!

Oh... he meant COLONEL WASHINGTON'S Monument... not the Washington Monument in Washington DC.

After we visited Colonel Washington's Monument it was time to go home. Bye bye pretty snow! I'll come back and visit you again soon.

Black Holes, Exploding Stuffies and an Award!

My buddy Dozer says that weird, crazy things happen in my home state of California or "Coleeforneea" as Gov. Arnold likes to pronounce it. Things like black holes and alien abductions. Well you can add mysterious exploding stuffies to that list. Look at my poor bear... the stuffing is oozing out of his tummy. I do not know how that happened.

For some reason my mom accuses ME of causing his stuffings to come out. I would never do anything to harm my bear. Look at how gently I am placing my paw on his leg.

This is my very best innocent face... is this the face of a doggie who would cause his bear to explode?

Well, in America you are innocent until proven guilty. I am innocent until my mom provides evidence that I had something to do with causing my stuffie to explode. Who are you going to believe? Me or your lying eyes?

Speaking of Dozer... he gave me a Proximidade award!

The award states that “This blog invests and believes in PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time, and relationships!”

In other words, “These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.”

I would like to share this award with my buddy Bruce the cat (in the hopes that maybe I'll get to go for a ride in one of Kevin's cool cars someday), Bob and Blackie (Blackie has the biggest head of any cat I've ever known), the charming Miss Kylie (who loves to hike as much as I do), Nessa (who could be my twin sister because we look so much alike), Norwood (aka Mr. Bizerko), the handsome and talented Ludo van Doggy and Happy because... well because she makes me happy!

Thanks for being such great friends!

Finally, a MANLY bandana!

Hi Everybuddy! I got a package in the mail today from a place called Custom Dog Bandanas. My mom says that it must be a gift from my beautiful friend, Mason Dixie!

Oh boy... it's a bandana with MY NAME on it! And instead of goofy cartoon dogs it has manly black and white paw prints and bones around the border.

Doesn't it look good on me?

My mom thinks the red looks very nice against my black fur.

Thank you Mason Dixie! I LOVE my new bandana!

Mason Dixie also gave me a Pink Rose award.

Pink Roses are given to all friends out there, bringing them a sweet and fruitful day. Those who receive these roses as a gift, you need to pass it on to 10 friends of yours to show them you care. And of course, for those who received the roses, that's to show that, you're never forgotten..

I would like to share these roses with... Bruce the cat (he is the COOLEST cat I know!), Bob and Blackie (two cat brothers who live the good life in San Diego), my new buddy Tank and the adorable Miss Kylie.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Strutting my stuff

My good friend the beautiful and charming (and did I say beautiful?) Mason Dixie wanted to see videos of her bloggie friends strutting their stuff. Here's a video of me walking towards my mom. As you can see, I like to carry my tail high and I almost prance when I walk.

Now here's a video of me walking away from the camera. My mom stopped the video right when I had a goofy expression on my face. (Thanks a LOT mom!)

P.S. Guess what everybuddy? I faced my fears and walked through the dark, scary tunnel today! My mom and my Sissy walked through the tunnel ahead of me. Once I saw that they didn't disappear into a black hole, I decided that it was safe for me to walk through the tunnel too. My dad gave me lots of hugs and pats and called me his brave boy. Today was a very fun day!

Walkies...

Hello Everybuddy! Today my Mom, Dad and Sissy went for a walk along the Alpine Pedal Path. Normally my dad and I like to go hiking along the dirt trails but today we had to stay on a paved path because my Sissy is in a wheelchair.

I love walking with my Sissy. See how I like to walk alongside her big stroller?

Oh no... I hope we don't see any bears today!

AHHH! A BEAR!!! Hehehe... did I scare you? This isn't a real bear. It's a bear statue in front of the Big Bear Discovery Center.

Here's my nemesis... the dark, scary tunnel! I am terrified of tunnels... please Dad, don't make me go through it!

Oh, this is sooo embarrassing. My Dad had to carry me through the tunnel because I refused to walk through on my own. I hope my doggie friends don't think less of me now...

My Dad praised me for being a brave boy after we made it through the tunnel.

We took a short break because my Mom wanted to take pictures of the lake. We still have a little bit of snow on our mountains but the ski resorts are closed now.

See how I'm leaning against my Sissy? I am very protective of her!

Time to go home... I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Bandana Boy

Hi Everybuddy! My good buddy Bruce blogged about cats wearing bandanas. After reading his post, my mom decided that I should wear a bandana too. I wasn't crazy about the idea of wearing a bandana so my mom bribed me with some doggie cookies. (That's why I'm licking my nose in this picture.)

I was a little miffed that my bandana was so goofy looking. I wanted a manly bandana but my mom chose a bandana with cartoon doggies on it instead. *SIGH*

Here I am trying to look dignified...

Here I am looking not so dignified. (Look at my spotty tongue!)

Now my mom is trying to make me look silly. I may have to chew up her shoes for embarrassing me like this...

Okay... I'll let you take one more picture before I go outside. May I PLEASE take the bandana off now??
