Polly Piggy

Hello Everybuddy! My good friends Wilbur (the Basset Hound) and Einstein (the dust mop) gave me a present yesterday.

It's a Polly Piggy stuffie!

The tag says that Polly is extremely durable. (Mom says that means I won't be able to rip her up.) Hmmm... we'll see about that!

First I tried to bite her back...

Next I tried to pull off her tail... Grrr!

Gosh... this is tougher than I thought it would be.

I'm pooped! And all I did was manage to chew part of her tail off.

Mom says my tongue is the same color as Polly...

*Sigh* If I can't chew Polly up I may as well use her as a pillow. Zzzzz Zzzzz...

Hike To San Gorgonio - May 26, 2009

Hi Everybuddy! Today my dad and I went on a very long (23 mile round trip) hike to the top of Mt. San Gorgonio. San Gorgonio is the highest peak in Southern California with an elevation of 11,499 ft. We met some nice hikers on top of the mountain and they took pictures of me and my dad.

The view from the summit...

I'm king of the mountain! I love climbing over the rocks...

I kept exploring while my dad fixed our lunch...

Now I'm getting ready to lie down and take a rest...

We discovered this neat box on top of the mountain. It's filled with notebooks where you can sign your name. I wanted to leave my paw print but we didn't have an ink pad. Oh well... I'll leave my pawtograph next time!

There were lots of colorful flags flying on the summit...

Yippee! Snow!

I hope you had fun climbing to the top of San Gorgonio with me and my dad. Phew... I'm pooped. Good night everybuddy!

Fun with Einstein!

Hi Everybuddy! First of all I would like to thank my dear friend Mason Dixie for making me famous on the internets. Mason got me a modeling job with CustomDogBandanas.com! You can click here to see my photo. Mom says that I should hire Mason to be my agent. Thanks Mason Dixie!

Yesterday I got to visit my buddies Wilbur and Einstein. Einstein is a silly little guy. Even though he's a lot smaller than me he loves to play bitey face and chase me around the yard.

Here's a video of the two of us playing together. If you turn up the sound you can hear Einstein barking at me too.

I hope everyone is having a nice Memorial Day weekend. If you have a minute, please check out Bruce the Cat's blog. He posted a very touching tribute to all of the heroic doggies who have served in our military.

My One Year Gotchaversary!

Hi Everybuddy! Today I'm celebrating my One Year Gotchaversary! That means it's been one year since my Mom, Dad and Sissy adopted me from the Rancho Coastal Humane Society. Here I am chewing on a bench with my sharp puppy teeth.

That's my dad's arm in the picture. Look at how little I was!

Playing with my stuffie...

Peeking out from underneath a bench. Where are my brothers and sisters?

My Dad was reaching down to rub my tummy in this picture...

Do you believe in love at first sight? My Dad does. Dad took one look at me and he knew that I was going to be his future hiking buddy!

My first day exploring the backyard...

I loved playing with the pinecones!

My Mom and Dad can't believe that a whole year has gone by since they adopted me. I hope you liked my Gotchaversary pictures... I'll be posting more hiking pictures in another day or two!

Where in the world is Kevin?

Hey Everybuddy. My pal Bruce told me that his dad Kevin is missing! I'm not an official search and rescue doggy but I have a good sniffer and I'm going to help Bruce find Kevin.

Hmmm... I wonder if the evil kitty has seen Kevin? Yoo hoo evil kitty... have you seen Kevin? Wake up! This is important! *Sigh*

Maybe I should search along this trail...

Wow, all of this searching is making me hungry. Nom, nom, nom...

Gosh, it sure feels good in the shade. Even though I'm resting you can see that I'm still in search mode. My eyes are wide open and my ears are sticking straight up in the air.

Hey, I wonder if Kevin is hiding in the tall grass?

Kevin? Are you out here? Nope, I don't see Kevin...

These big boulders can't stop me. I'll just climb over the top of them!

I wonder if Kevin crossed the stream?

I see footprints in the snow... maybe Kevin is hiding behind the trees.

Don't worry Bruce. I'm sure we'll find Kevin soon!

Happy Mother's Day!

My mom had a very nice surprise today. A man in a van brought her these pretty flowers. The flowers were from my human brother and his fiancee.

I love flowers (almost as much as snow!).... Mom put them on a chair where I could inspect them. Here's a video of me and the kitty sniffing the flowers. It's best to watch the video with the sound turned down so you don't have to listen to the TV noise in the background.

Happy Mother's Day Everybuddy!

Hike To Fish Creek - May 5, 2009

Hello Everybuddy! Today my dad and I went on a 12-mile round trip hike to a place called Fish Creek.

Can you see the snow in the background? It was still deep in some spots.

We stopped for lunch at a place with lots of logs stacked up in a circle. Here I am standing guard while dad fixes our lunch.

My dad stashed our gear on top of the logs. If you enlarge the picture you can see our cooking pot on top of the rocks.

I take my guarding duties very seriously. I have to make sure that no bears sneak up on us!

Everything is all clear. I didn't see any bears or lions.

Dad calls this my Rin Tin Tin pose...

I think dad needs to practice using the zoom lens more. "Hey dad... I'm over here!" Geesh, I look like a black speck in this picture.

It was getting late and dad said it was time to head back down the mountain. We had a very fun day!
